The Golf College

Curriculum

The Golf College Group transferred the Sussex College of Golf to Lindfield Golf Club (near Haywards Heath), Sussex in September 2007.

It educates boys and girls aged between 16-19 years currently playing off a single figure handicap, providing students with the best technical and physiological training, priming them for a career at the top level.

The Advanced Apprenticeship in Golf is a combination of two elements:-

1. An NVQ in the chosen sport (Golf) as provided by individual and group coaching, practice, general play (including overseas) and competition.

2. The BTEC in General Sport, providing the equivalent of two “A levels”.

The course is unique and we believe there is no better place at which a young person can develop their personal and professional skills in golf.

There is a maximum 30 places available annually, starting early September.

To qualify for golf education at the Golf College, your handicap must be currently played in single figures. The qualification you will receive on completion of your course is a BTEC in General Sport. A BTEC is equivalent to two A Levels.

There are a maximum of 30 golf education slots available annually at the Golf College. We run frequent taster days and weeks to get you started, so you can find out what we’re like and how the courses will run. Full annual tuition intake is done every September to coincide with the academic year.
