FAQs
What GCSE's do I need?
You will need at least 4 GCSE's to start the course, these must be at C grade or above and include both maths and English.
What handicap do I have to have?
Ideally, you will be playing off around 5 or below. However, we do appreciate that you will be potentially spending 2 years working on your game so if you handicap is slightly higher, you can still apply.
Do you have accommodation?
For all students who live too far to commute to the college on a daily basis, we provide hosting with local families within a 5 mile radius of the college. We collect every morning (except Monday) and drop off every evening back to the host families. Believe it or not, 75% of our current students are hosted and they all enjoy it.
OK, I really want to come to the college, what happens next?
Great news! Firstly, call either Paul Lyons or Louise Marks on 01444 484467 or email us to start the ball rolling. We will e-mail you an information pack which gives more details about the college, course and of course, fees.
If you then wish to take it futher, the next step would be to come and visit us. The best time for you to view the college is when all the students are here (check out our term times under Curriculum before calling). The main coaching day is a Tuesday so again, that's probably the best time for you to come.
As part of the entrance into the college, you will need to do a playing test (full 18 holes) and have an interview with Paul Lyons. If you are travelling a long way to view the college, we suggest that you arrange to do your playing test and have your interview whilst you are here. Remember to mention this when you call.
We look forward to seeing you.
