Bell Stars as England Win

England have won the 2009 Boys Home Internationals, defeating Ireland 12 – 3 on the final day of the event under threatening skies at Hankley Common Golf Club. They have now won ten of the 14 Boys Home Internationals staged since the event was changed to its present format in 1996.

Taking a 4 – 1 lead into the singles, England looked favourite to go on and win the title. And they continued that form into the afternoon, ensuring victory by winning the first seven matches reasonably comfortably with only one tie going all the way to the final hole.
