Alfie Plant retains Kent Junior Golf Order of Merit
Alfie Plant retains the Kent Junior Golf Order of Merit after an outstanding season.
Defending champion Alfie Plant of Rochester and Cobham Golf Club has won the Kent Junior Order of Merit Champion for the second year in succession.
Needing to win 4 opens out of the last 5 events of the busy Kent County Junior Golf fixtures list, Alfie fired rounds of 3 under par at the London Golf Club, and 4 under par at Faversham Golf Club to get the job done in style.
It has been a remarkable year for the scratch handicap player Alfie Plant who become the Rochester & Cobham Park Golf Club Champion with a 36 hole gross score of -5, 137 after posting rounds of 70 and 67, 4 shots clear of his nearest rival. This was no mean feet considering the amount of quality players at this Open Qualifier Golf Club, who also have 2009 GB&I Walker Cup player Matt Haines as a member.
