George Groves, a student at The Golf College, has recently been selected to represent England in a Disability Golf match against France.
George’s selection follows a fine performance in the English Disability Open in August last year.
George, who is a new arrival on the disability golf scene, represented Copthorne Golf Club, Sussex and The Golf College in the championship and, playing off four, returned gross scores of 76 and 77.
George has a medical condition which is called Erb’s Palsy, which is a paralysis to his left arm and he has had this since birth. Since playing, EDGA have asked for him to play for the team when and where required and he will be travelling to France in May 2017 to play in the event to help represent the England Team. George says that this is something he is really looking forward to and is very excited about.
