Welcome to The Golf College which has been based at Lindfield Golf Club since 2007.
As The Golf College has management control of its own facility it is able to give an educational and golfing experience like no other. Students enjoy unlimited access to golf course, practice balls, trackman, long game and short game facilities, which run alongside its 50+ tournament rounds which are delivered each year, including our own PGA Professional event and WAGA events.
Our first-class coaching team presides over an average of 17 hours of coaching each week consisting of 6 full time and the many specialist coaches in areas such as such as putting, chipping, Bio Mechanics and Sports Psychology enabling each student to ‘become the best they can be’.
This coaching team which consists of nationally and internationally recognised coaches with years of coaching experience including the coach to an Open Champion, two European Tour players and a Trackman Master Professional.

EDUCATIONAL STANDARDS
OUR ACHIEVEMENTS
Our educational record is outstanding and well above the national average for achievement in the BTEC qualification. In previous years an average of 85% of our students have achieved Distinctions leading to opportunities in Higher Education.
In addition, for those students who have not achieved satisfactory grades in GCSE English and Maths we provide extra tuition in these subjects. We are an approved Examination Centre and conduct nationally audited English and Maths exams on site.
Uniquely the college spends its winter term from January to March in Portugal and is the only college in the UK which is allowed to deliver The BTEC Extended Diploma in this way. This provides our students with the unique opportunity to continue with both their education and their golf development during the British winter.

The coaches you will be studying under at The Golf College are outstanding in their individual fields. Golf College Coaches include Master Professional Denis Pugh, who coached Colin Montgomerie to eight European Tour Order of Merit wins, Founder and Head Coach Paul Lyons.
Weekly golf competitions during term-time in the UK, combined with 9 weeks of golf training abroad during the winter months, provide plenty of opportunities for students to reduce their handicap, sharpen their games, and prepare for a season of golf. Are you competitive?

The vision of The Golf College in West Sussex, UK is precisely as you’d expect: expansive, ambitious and all-inclusive. For our players, we expect to help you become the best that you can be; to give you an education and a qualification you can use; and to put you on a career path in the golfing world.
The vision of The Golf College, West Sussex, for our teachers, is that they will deliver the highest quality of speciality coaching and educational teaching for golf and for careers in golf – including the physical, mental and academic preparation that will give our students the start they need.
- Students will live in family accommodation.
- All families have been carefully selected, CRB checked and inspected by Fiona Handcock, who has 27 years experience in teaching, looking after and placing students in host family accommodation.
- Most of our families are in the Haywards Heath/Lindfield/Cuckfield/Burgess Hill area and have many years experience in hosting overseas language students and are used to caring for young people away from home.
- Accommodation will be in twin or single rooms, 1, 2 or 3 students to a family. Rooms will have a bed, wardrobe and cupboard space and a desk with chair for homework for each student.
- The families provide comfortable family accommodation, two meals a day (breakfast and evening meal) and students live with them as a family member and may enjoy normal family activities with them.
- Students join their families on Monday evening after college and depart on Friday morning to go to college. Extra nights or weekend stays may be arranged on an individual basis with each family. The Golf College provides a minibus service transporting students to and from Lindfield am and pm with pick-up points in Haywards Heath, Burgess Hill and en-route.
