Matt Chapman Wins Surrey Amateur Championship


Former Golf College student Matt Chapman recently won the Surrey Amateur Championship played at Woodcote Park and Cuddington Golf Clubs.


Matt, who graduated from the Golf College in 2010, qualifying for the matchplay stages from a field of over one hundred players.  In his first match Matt recorded a front nine score of  4,3,2,4,4,4,3,3,3 = 30 to be 4 up at the turn, eventually winning through to the final on the 14th hole.


In the grand final matchplay round Matt won a tight fought contest to add the Surrey Amateur Championship to his list of successes.
